Elddis open VOSA ATF in Consett

With a further significant investment in the North East, Elddis have opened a State of the Art VOSA Alternative Testing Facility at our Consett site. This will allow both Elddis and third parties to MOT HGV vehicles as well as Buses and Coaches in Consett, instead of having to travel to either Gosforth or Darlington which is the previous alternatives. This will save Elddis 25,000 road miles alone and provide a significant benefit to other operators.

Elddis were chosen as the Choice of Champions in the latest edition of the North East Chamber of Commerce Contact Magazine as a result of our recent award successes.

 

 

Elddis Transport – Haulier of the Year 2013

Elddis received a major industry honour on the 3rd July at the 28th Motor Transport Awards in London taking the top award – 2013 Haulier of the Year

The awards, organised by Motor Transport magazine, are the road transport industry event of the year, celebrating the achievements of the industry – recognising innovation, outstanding service, efficiency and quality. They are judged by an independent panel of experts drawn from the industry.

The judges said Elddis was a solid, well-established business, achieving strong customer retention.

Nigel Cook, Elddis Managing Director said “This is a fantastic honour for Elddis and great recognition of all of the hard work put in by all of the staff at Elddis”

Elddis also won the Newcastle Building Society Cornerstone of the Community Award on the same day in recognition of the charity work the company does. This made a great day even better

Haulier of the Year was sponsored by MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd and comedian Dara O’Briain presented the award in front of over 1,600 guests at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

ELDDIS SHORTLISTED FOR THREE NATIONAL AWARDS IN ONE DAY

 

Elddis have been shortlisted for 3 major national awards. For the 3rd year running we have been shortlisted for the United Kingdom Warehousing Association Environmental Award, an accolade that we have won for the last 2 years. In addition we have also been shortlisted in 2 categories in the 2013 Motor Transport Awards. These nominations are for Innovation, for our design of the largest trailer in Europe and nominated in the biggest award in the UK Haulage Industry – Haulier of the Year. To get 3 nominations is a major achievement; all 3 awards are announced on 3rd July

Elddis have been crowned the most environmental company on the North East in the 2013 North East Business Awards. Have successfully won the sub-region award Elddis were awarded the North East Business Award for Environment, Social Responsibility and Low Carbon and an awards ceremony at Hardwick Hall on 25th April. This is further recognition of our on-going commitment to environmental improvement.
